Five Piano Concertos!….Four Concert Pianists! What to do?! Taconic Opera will present a full afternoon of all five of Beethoven's piano concertos. Each of the four pianists will play one of the first four concertos and then…we will SPIN THE WHEEL and the chosen pianist will play the 5th Concerto, "The Emperor!" Jun Nakabayashi will conduct all five works with the Taconic Opera orchestra. Enjoy three hours of music with two additional 20 minute intermissions. And after the event, we will have delicious refreshments in the Grand Hall. So come ready to enjoy an afternoon of Beethoven bliss!

Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15: 38 minutes


Kessa Mefford is an award-winning pianist from the river town of Peekskill, New York. Described as "powerful, disciplined, and profoundly emotional," (Croton Gazette) Kessa was raised in a family of musicians. Kessa debuted at Carnegie Hall in December 2022 with a historic program; “Ravel: All of It,” his complete art songs from memory with soprano Kristina Cook. Since then, Kessa has performed Ravel in venues all around the country and on the radio. Kessa has done residencies as a guest artist at universities such as Brigham Young University, Weber State University, and University of Colorado Boulder. Kessa is also the only pianist to ever perform an all-Ravel program in Grand Central Terminal as part of HONY’s Dear New York project in October 2025. She has now performed and recorded every work ever written that includes piano by Ravel. Kessa has released three albums, two of which are part of an eight-album series featuring the complete works of Ravel alongside other composers. The remaining six albums are slated to be released over the next several years.

Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major, Op. 19: 31 minutes


Bryan Ojeda Chevres is a Puerto Rican concert pianist whose artistry combines lyrical depth and virtuosic intensity. Praised for performances that blend emotional sensitivity with intellectual clarity, he has captivated audiences across Europe, the United States, and the Caribbean. As a soloist, he has collaborated many times with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, in 2024 performing Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 twice under the baton of Maximiano Valdés. He has also been invited multiple times to perform at the Festival Casals in Puerto Rico and has had festival appearances at the Art of Piano Festival, Malaga International Piano Festival, Todi Interational Music Masters, and Puerto Piano and Strings Festival. In the 2025-2026 season, Ojeda Chevres made his Massachusetts debut with the Lincoln Sudbury Civic Orchestra under Alfonso Piacentini, performing Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor. He also was selected as one of only fifty pianists in New York City to participate in the North American premiere of Georg Friedrich Haas's monumental work 11,000 Strings, presented at the Park Avenue Armory.

Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37: 34 minutes



Acclaimed for her powerful sound, her musical sensitivity and her exciting performances, pianist Brielle Perez has captivated audiences worldwide. Raised in Oradell, New Jersey, Perez began her piano studies at the age of five at the Palisades School of Music in Fort Lee, New Jersey. By age ten, she made her orchestral debut with the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra. At thirteen, she commenced her studies under the mentorship of Eduardus Halim at NYU. In 2024, Perez graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance as well as a double major in Psychology. She now holds her Masters degree in Piano Performance from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Orli Shaham and Hung-Kuan Chen. Perez has performed extensively across the United States, Europe,and Asia. Among her recent engagements include a performance and interview for WQXR’s ‘Young Artists Showcase,’ a performance with the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra under conductor David Glover, as well as with the Mid-Atlantic Symphony under conductor Michael Repper. Perez is also the first prize winner of the Juilliard Mieczyslaw Munz Scholarship Competition. Beyond her classical career, Brielle has a multi-disciplinary background, where she has been the understudy keyboardist and organist for a Grammy-nominated rock group. She also is a mental health advocate especially for children’s healthy pursuit of rigorous arts. During her time at Juilliard, Perez was appointed the Teaching Assistant position for the Juilliard Pre-College Piano Division.

Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Op. 58: 34 minutes

Daniel Colalillo is a New York City–based pianist recognized for his bold programming and expressive, intellectually driven performances. Colalillo recently made his sold-out Carnegie Hall debut, premiering Lowell Liebermann’s Piano Sonata No. 4 and further establishing himself as a compelling voice in both standard and contemporary repertoire. The New York Classical Review praised “a marvelous performance… stimulating and rewarding, from a thoughtful musician who had something to say,” while The Classical Music Guide wrote, “He always plays expressively, never mechanically.” Colalillo has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Steinway Hall, and has appeared at institutions such as Princeton University, Columbia University, and MIT. His performances have taken him to major cities across North America, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto, and Montreal.
